THE TOP WILL TUSSLE
IUP's visit East sets up an exciting face-off between D2's three early leaders.  UPENN, Rowan and IUP are all undefeated with a combined 5 wins, 38 goals and only 5 against.  Now they'll face one another in an early-stage test of strength.  These games may be some of the most competitive yet.
 

PHOENIX TAKES FLIGHT
In their 1st ever, college hockey game, the North Jersey Phoenix cross the Hudson to challenge Columbia University.  The short bench of NJP has worked hard for this special first & their opponent has put in just as much time rebuilding for this -- only one can skate away with that first win!

HAWKS VISIT THE CAPITAL
Meeting as division rivals for the 1st time, Saint Joe's travels to DC to face American University. The Lady Eagles put up a promising fight against Rowan last week, as did the Hawks who challenged last year's regular season champs.  Now the national zoo is back open, just in time to tell which bird of prey wins, head-to-head.
 

SATURDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
Like Monday night football, D1's only game this week is one you don't want to miss.  The historical first match-up of Towson and Rutgers packs a lot of fire-power into two, short benches.  Sure, each team has only played 1 game, but each team scored 8 goals in that game -- against tough rivals.  Both squads are new to D1 and could prove something here -- like how much writing a scorekeeper can do.
