It's 2014, Time to Circle Some Dates With Skates


Holiday cheer may have ended but HOCKEY cheering is just getting good!

Six epic weekends and a lot of question marks lie ahead in a DVCHC season, quickly drawing to a close.

Which teams will top the standings for a bye at playoffs?  Who will be eliminated?  Who will raise the cup on President's Day Weekend?

Find out by marking the dates below & making a resolution to catch some college hockey awesomeness.  Hope to see you in the stands!

UCT Winter Hockey Festival

Over 20 American Special Hockey teams from across the country will converge on the Gardens Ice House in Laurel, MD.  DVCHC players will be there the cheer, lend a hand & sign autographs for our many friends from special hockey.  Games start at 4pm Friday & end Sunday at 1pm, we hope you'll come support & share in the excitement.

The Season Restarts!

Fittingly lifted from the ashes by the Phoenix of North Jersey, the hibernating hockey season will begin anew on January 18th.  The Phoenix take their 1st trip to DC for games with American & Navy.  From there, three big weekends remain, packing in 26 thrilling contests that will ultimately set the stage for February's Women's Championship!

Double Down Weekend

It's a 2 for 1 weekend!  Six teams duke out doubleheaders that will have a big impact on what's left of the season.  Navy visits a UVA team struggling for life. AU plays two against IUP.  Villanova takes on Rutgers in their 1st ever match-up.  Rowan and UPENN, the top dogs in D2, face off for a rematch of last semester's UPENN stunner.

Rival Revival Weekend Begins

It's a weekend for bragging rights.  Rowan vs Phoenix for New Jersey.  Slippery Rock and Villanova in PA. Liberty and UVA challenge one another in Virginia. The Naval Academy rematches both Maryland & Towson in Annapolis.  Plus Saint Joe's takes on Columbia in a fight that could determine who goes to playoffs.

The Last Straw

The season takes its final breaths as teams battle for their spot in the standings.  Towson visits UVA for the 1st time.  Liberty plays the final DVCHC game of their season in Maryland.  SJU & Columbia could be playing to see who goes to playoffs & IUP, UPENN & Rowan compete for a 1st round bye. Last time IUP visited Philly both games were determined by 1 goal, one of them in OT. Don't miss!

2014 Women's Championship

On President's Day Weekend the DVCHC returns to the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington, DE for the 12th women's playoff.  14 do-or-die games, 12 university teams, 3 exciting days that will leave two champions to raise the cup!

Both 6-team brackets begin on Saturday (#3 vs #6 and #4 vs #5), the 1st game beginning at 2:35pm.  A full schedule will be out on our flashy playoff page, soon!

2014 Women's All-Star Game

The league's 15 teams converge on Hershey, PA to celebrate the season ...& show off a bit.  Hosted by the Hershey Bears in the Giant Center, the event includes the Women's All-Star game, New Stars Game, Awards, Coaches' Deathbowl, a Hershey Bears game (immediately following) AND guests of honor from Caitlin's Smiles charity.  An event for women's hockey fans, far and wide (bring the kids)!  DVCHC games begin at 2:30pm and end at 4:35pm.
