D2 Top Scorer

#7 -- Sydney Flemister, SJU

.

REG. SEASON:  10 GP,  27 PTS,  19 G,  8 A,  +22

2015 PLAYOFFS: 2 GP,  0 PTS, -4

Sydney Flemister stunned the league this year with 19 goals and 9 assists and proved to be an intimidation factor to all the teams we faced this season. With Sydney’s unbeatable talent and hard work ethic, she helped lead our team to be #1 in the league for a period of time, the first time in our club’s history.  It is without question that Sydney Flemister should receive recognition for being our team’s (and one of the league’s) high scorer.

#14 -- Tori Peters, IUP

REG. SEASON:  8 PTS,  5 G,  3 A,  -16

Tori Peters is a junior, Criminology Major from Reading, PA. She played in all ten of IUP’s games and scored a total of 5 goals throughout the season. She also contributed to other team members racking up 3 assists. Tori lead IUP with 8 points. Tori also had 1 power play goal. Tori’s first goal came against Columbia University, which helped to lead her team to a tie against Columbia. Tori also registered a hat trick for the season against Columbia, with one of her goals being from a power play. She also had one assist during her hat trick game. Tori has been a huge part of the IUP team for the last three years. Her knowledge of the game and leadership shines through on and off the ice. She displays dedication and determination throughout her play and off ice workouts.

#9 -- Elizabeth Hitti, UPENN

REG. SEASON:  23 PTS,  14 G,  9 A,  +12

2014 PLAYOFFS: 8 PTS,  6 G,  2 A

This dashing Sophomore hit the ice a quarter of the way into the season and she did not miss a step. Playing on the Varsity Field Hockey team at the University of Pennsylvania, Elizabeth known by her teammates, Hitti is a force to be reckoned with. Hitti is what every coach hopes to get on their bench. Pure hockey player who is a skillful player to make plays out of nothing. Hitti would be out on the ice while her team would be going for a line change, and create a scoring chance. In 6 games, Hitti had 14 goals, and 23 points.  That is a remarkable statistic. Almost having a hat-trick in every time she hit the ice. Hitti would make players around her better, and helped the University of Pennsylvania take home a Championship, and complete a perfect undefeated season.

#25 -- Alex Tepper, PHOENIX

REG. SEASON:  15 PTS,  8 G,  7 A,  +11

2015 PLAYOFFS: 2 PTS,  1 G,  1 A,  +0

Alex is an experienced defenseman who has no shortage of energy. She is often found rushing the puck up the ice with great speed but under total control. It comes as no surprise that she is Phoenix’s team leader for the second year in a row.  Her confidence level when she is in possession of the puck outweighs the pressure of any situation she may be in, which is why she scores equally as well during even strength play, on a power play, shorthanded, or in overtime. Her most pivotal goal this season was definitely the power play overtime goal to secure the win against St. Joseph’s University.

#67 -- Jessalynn Wright, ROWAN

REG. SEASON:  14 PTS,  11 G,  3 A,  +7

2014 PLAYOFFS: 6 PTS,  4 G,  2 A

#23 -- Gina Weires, AU

REG. SEASON:  12 GP,  15 PTS,  12 G,  3 A,  -14

2015 PLAYOFFS: N/A

This season Gina scored more goals than our entire team, combined.  She tied for 2nd most goals in D2 this season and almost doubled her output from last year.  Her hard work and talent are unmatched, but it's her big heart, fun loving attitude and kindness that represent our entire team.

#13 -- Lexie Brackenridge, COLUMBIA

Lexie is a very talented hockey player.   Her drive to succeed is evident every time she steps onto the ice.  Lexie scores in the big games when it matters most and in the lesser games.  She has earned my complete respect as a true competitor.  During the last game of the first half of the season we were losing to the NJ Phoenix.  We were awarded a power play and Lexie looked at me and said,  “If you put me out on the power play, I will score a goal.”  Lexie scored a few seconds later and she scored again in overtime to help our team win third place this season.
