D2 Top Scorer

Amy Bauman -- SRU

.

Amy Bauman is a goal scroer, she can get the puck in the net. Whether she does a deke or a quick wrist shot she is always trying her best to get the puck in the net.

She had 16 goals this season and 14 assists so she also sets up plays as well as scoring goals. She passes the puck when she can to give other players opportunities to score goals.

Abby Shaw -- IUP

Abby is a talented hockey player who has great puck sense and knows how to score.

Jacqueline Drew -- USNA

Jacqueline Jacqui Drew, a sophomore and Captain, is truly one of those inspirational players you need on a team. No game is ever out of reach of victory, no matter the score, when Jacqui is playing. Every player, every Coach, every opposing team, knows when Jacqui is on the ice because she is to be reckoned with. Her season total of 10 goals and 6 assists and +8 points just begin to sum up her package of hockey skills.

Jacqui’s dedication, hockey sense and style, team play, and work ethic continue to excite and elevate the play of her teammates and coaches alike. She plays defense with as much passion as any player - pro, college, or amateur - I have worked with.

Jacqui’s style of play includes all players on the ice with her, as she is not a one dimensional player. She passes as well as she scores, creates plays for others as well as herself, and when she is on the ice or bench, scoring or not, she is encouraging and talking up the game with the players.

Jacqui makes it her priority to make every player on the ice a hard skating and scoring line. In the Playoff games, her corner work, passing, skating, and scoring were the catalyst we needed to win the Championship.

Samantha So -- VU

Sophomore Sammy is a phenomenal hockey player from Princeton, NJ.  As one of our strongest skaters, she has been able to help our Offense in clutch situations along with being our top scorer for the 2nd year in a row.  More importantly, she has been one of the key players on our Power Play Line.

Sammy’s knowledge of the game, sweet demeanor, team oriented attitude, and athleticism have made her a key player for the Wildcats for the past two seasons.  All this while still remaining a Devils diehard fan. It is with great pleasure that we have nominated her as the High Scorer for our 2010-2011 Season.

Wei Leong -- CU

Wei has been an important asset to our defense and offense, having earned the most points on our team as a defenseman. She has shown outstanding effort and dedication as an administrative leader off the ice and a defensive leader on the ice.

Wei has worked hard this season to keep Columbia in the game in league standings as the newest club and she has done a fine job in helping Columbia make its mark on the DVCHC.
